First it was a spontaneous eruption by a few members of a group of demonstrators and it was mere coincidence that the raid happened to occur on the 11th day of September.  The Libyan people were horrified and even helped carry Ambassador Chris Stevens to the hospital, so said Hillary Clinton in the Secretary’s first public statement about the attack.  Then the details morphed a few times until now we are at “Al Qaeda did it”  and the ambassador’s body was paraded through the streets in triumph.  What was so difficult about saying this was an operation planned for September 11th and carried out by a brand of Islamic extremists whose work is all too familiar to us?

It would not reflect well on Islam, of course.  It would place full responsibility for the atrocity on certain elements from the Muslim world and not hold the United States in any way accountable for the overrunning of its Libyan embassy and the murder of its own ambassador.  Any other administration would have said something like that.  But not this one.

The bombing of trains in Madrid, subways in London, a night club in Bali and the World Trade Center in New York are atrocities in plain sight.  They cannot be denied.  And these may be the least of it if you add up all the local killings by Islamists that have occurred over the years in schools, airports, markets and even on military bases.  If such inhumanities are not acknowledged as an element of the Muslim world, then the only alternative is they must be the Muslim world.  That of course is not the case.

Obama’s father was a Muslim.  Obama spent some his early formative years in a Muslim country attending Muslim schools.  It is understandable that he would be sympathetic to the plights and beliefs of Muslim believers.  There is nothing wrong with that.  In fact he is in a unique position to bring some understanding between people of the Muslim and Western worlds.  But it has to start with acknowledgement and unqualified severe condemnation of Islamic militant Jihad and terrorism.  Only then can understanding begin.  Sadly, Obama won’t do that.

A rocket from Egypt hits Israel.

Obama administration officials are meeting with envoys from Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood.

The White House – “We believe that it is in the interest of the United States to engage with all parties that are committed to democratic principles, especially nonviolence,” said National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor.

OK, but what does that have to do with meeting with the Muslim Brotherhood? Vietor’s statement qualifies as the non-sequitur of the week.

The Truth About the Muslim Brotherhood – Founded in Egypt in 1928, the Muslim Brotherhood has been an immensely powerful force in Middle East politics.  Their Mission Statement is: “Allah is our objective; the Quran is our constitution, the Prophet is our leader; Jihad is our way; and death for the sake of Allah is the highest of our aspirations.”

The Brotherhood’s founder, Hassan al-Banna, stated that the group’s goal was to assert Islam’s manifest destiny and create an empire governed by Islamic religious law and unified in an autocratic caliphate. He claimed “It is in the nature of Islam to dominate, not to be dominated, to impose its law on all nations and to extend its power to the entire planet.”

Vietor again – “In all our conversations with these groups, we emphasize the importance of respect for minority rights, the full inclusion of women, and our regional security concerns.”

That would be all well and good if you knew who you are talking to, but it is obvious you don’t. And I am giving Obama the benefit of a doubt at that.

We have occasionally made reference to Orwell’s ‘Memory Hole’ down which the Ministry of Truth dumped everything The Party did not want ever to have existed.  It was the duty of the Thought Police to enforce The Party Policy that once something was thrown down the Memory Hole it was never to be thought of as truth again.

When Orwell wrote “1984” he wrote fiction,…or did he?

Obama administration pulls references to Islam from terror training materials, official says

In a … Los Angeles Times op-ed, Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) president Salam al-Marayati threatened the FBI with a total cutoff of cooperation between American Muslims and law enforcement if the agency failed to revise its law enforcement training materials.

Deputy U.S. Attorney General James Cole confirmed on Wednesday that the Obama administration was pulling back all training materials used for the law enforcement and national security communities, in order to eliminate all references to Islam that some Muslim groups have claimed are offensive.

“I recently directed all components of the Department of Justice to re-evaluate their training efforts in a range of areas, from community outreach to national security,” Cole told a panel at the George Washington University law school.

It is not just the water temperature in your shower that The Party wants to control.  It’s also your very thoughts.

Imam Abul Ala Maududi is defined in Wikipedia as a “Muslim revivalist leader and political philosopher, and a major 20th century Islamist thinker”. Here we examine his teaching about Jihad, what it is and how all Muslims have a role.

The sentences are awkward in places because it is a direct translation of Maududi’s writings. We find his teachings to be consistent with that of other Islamic scholars. The emphasis is ours.

Islam is all-encompassing, the Islamic state should not be limited to just the “homeland of Islam”. It is for all the world. ‘Jihad’ should be used to eliminate un-Islamic rule and establish this Islamic state: Islam wishes to destroy all states and governments anywhere on the face of the earth which are opposed to the ideology and programme of Islam regardless of the country or the Nation which rules it.

The purpose of Islam is to set up a state on the basis of its own ideology. and programme, regardless of which nation assumes the role of the standard-bearer of Islam or the rule of which nation is undermined in the process of the establishment of an ideological Islamic State. Towards this end, Islam wishes to press into service all forces which can bring about a revolution. Jihad is the term for the use of all these forces. The objective of Jihād’ is to eliminate all un-Islamic states and replace them with an Islamic system of state rule.

Active combat is not the only role in the battle. Not everyone can fight on the front line Jihad is a combination of combat for God and support for those waging combat (Qita’al). Just for one single battle preparations have often to be made for decades on end and the plans deeply laid, and while only some thousands fight in the front line there are behind them millions engaged in various tasks which, though small themselves, contribute directly to the supreme effort.”

According to Islamic belief, all nations will eventually become Muslim lands. Then, and not before, is the time when the world will finally be at peace. It’s a noble goal and the basis upon which an Islamic Muslim makes the claim that Islam is a religion of peace. Some choose a militant role to bring it about; the rest are commanded by Allah to serve in support of them. And that is the reason why moderate Muslims do not stand up in condemnation of terrorist acts the way we in the West expect them to.

Our hope lies not with moderate Muslims but with the reformists. They are there, but they’re a very small minority within the Muslim world. Reformists are considered to be apostates, former Islamists who have left the religion and turned against it, often more reviled than infidels who never were believers in the first place.

In researching for this post I came across the following, which is a very good explanation of the difference between a moderate and a reformist Muslim.

Moderates = most likely a Taqiyya* driven individual who may not commit acts of terror themselves, but will surely defend Islam and deny the problem within.

Reformists = Those who will honestly see the problem within their own, do not defend Islam but attack the evil within and don’t condemn anti-jihadists for pointing out the obvious.

* “Taqiyya” literally means: “Concealing, precaution, guarding.” It is employed in disguising one’s beliefs, intentions or convictions and is allowed by the Koran when dealing with kuffar (non-believers).

The virtue of deceit

Christine Amanpour and Diane Sawyer whitewashed Islam in Saturday night and Sunday morning programs. Pamela Geller covers it at Atlas Shrugs.

Given the exposure of various frauds and misrepresentations at CBS (Rather) and NBC (exploding trucks) not to mention the string of dishonesties by Mike Wallace (Google for them) it became apparent that network news “documentaries” are worse than useless; they are dangerous. These programs were, and still are, designed to create an air of integrity, the feeling that they are protecting us by enlightening us about who is defrauding and lying to us. They gain our confidence, then they lie to us.

Those with open minds, as all Conservatives have (wink), give the devil his due and say there must be some truth in what the other side has to say. The problem is, when watching these programs, how do you know which is truth and which is not, what to accept and what to not?

The shrewdest lie is not a lie at all; it is the technique of creating an impression that does not reflect the truth. It is the art of creating a lie by telling a carefully selected string of truths.

Immediately following Diane Sawyer’s 20/20 whitewash of Islam there was a program that focused on securities related crimes featuring a case from 2005 where an employee of a printing house informed another individual of the headlines that would appear in the next issue of Business Week magazine. The individual happened to work at Goldman Sachs, however, Goldman Sachs was not otherwise involved. the trades he initiated were strictly for his personal benefit and were executed through another broker. How might you title such a program?

Perhaps “Illegal Options Trader Exposed” or “The SEC Catches a Criminal”? Or here’s an idea, how about “Greedy Goldman Sachs Defines American Capitalism”? Sounds like a winner  just in need of some minor editing. The program was actually called “American Greed” and the promotional teaser invited viewers to stay tuned for an exposure of insider trading and greed at Goldman Sachs. Denunciation of capitalism was left inferred.

Rules for Radicals Tactical Rule #4 “Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”

Obviously, our rule in this instance is freedom of religion.

In Act II of his plan, Alinsky also states the job of a community organizer is to agitate. He says flat-out in the book, – a good community organizer is a community agitator. Get the people riled up, then, use the turmoil to your advantage.

Certainly, the Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is no follower of Saul Alinsky. He doesn’t need to be in order to know and employ the principles and tactics. Alinsky didn’t invent them; he simply put them together in clear and cohesive form. Knowledge of Alinsky’s teachings gives an observer great insight into the motivation behind the actions of anyone who strives to change our government or our way of life.

The Imam has chosen controversy. He has no interest in pleasing the crowd. He wants to stir up the crowd. He seeks a victory for Islam and there can be no victory if there is no battle to be fought. Appeals to his “sensitivity” are naïve in the extreme, almost silly. Lower Manhattan is not a haven of Muslims; it is a symbol of free market America. Building a 100 million dollar monumental Mosque in that location, rather than close to a Muslim population, makes no religious sense at all. But as we have said before, it is a brilliant move for the advancement of Islam.

NOTE: We had this article written, all but the editing, when we discovered the video by U.K. personality Pat Condell. We are not a fan of the man but must give the devil his due. So often it seems, those on the outside looking in have a clearer view than those who are within.

Understanding Islam

One of the comments often heard about the building of an Islamic mosque at ground zero goes something like this, “I think they have a right to build it there, but is it wise for them to do so?” Let me tell you, it’s not just wise, it’s brilliant!

What’s missing from the debate over the Mosque is a clear understanding of Islam and the muslim religion of Mohamedism. There is a good reason why the Islamic sponsors of the Mosque have chosen the name Cordoba House, why they want to build it where they do, and why they want to have a dedication ceremony on Sept 11th. At Random Thots we think it is vitally important to have a basic knowledge of some of the history and core beliefs within the muslim world. For many years there was no need, there is now.

Islam is more than a religion. It is the law of the land, it is territorial, it is Jihad, it is a nation. It is a nation without borders, not because its location is not defined but because its location is limitless. It encompasses the entire world. Other religions recognize religion and government as two different things, no matter how closely tied they may be. In Islam they are one and the same.

The goal of Islam is the establishment of the religion/government of Mohamedism worldwide. The first concern is to purify the Holy Land (all of the Mid-East) of kuffa (non-believers) then to rule the world beyond. Once that has come to pass, peace will prevail throughout, and not before. This is the peace Islam so earnestly seeks. Jihad is the struggle to complete the work that will bring about that time of peace. Christians and Jews also envision a time when the world will be at peace, but believe there is nothing they can do to determine or hasten the time.

Islam divides the world into two realms. dar al Islam (the world of submission to and acceptance of Allah) and dar al Harb (the world of war). To an Islamist you are either a believer or an abject enemy, an enemy of God and man and standing in the way of peace.

Jihad in dar al Harb, the realm of war, is fought on two fronts, both well understood in the muslim world. The first is the militant front, the flying of planes into the WTC towers, bombing a train in Spain to swing an election, and bombings like those in Bali and London. These are the hot heads, lesser in number but louder in voice than the majority. For the vast majority of devout muslims violence is not their way. Nevertheless, the militants are doing God’s work, praise be to Allah.

The second front of the jihad in the realm of war is the exhortation to follow the command of diaspora. Go into the lands of the kuffa and populate but do not assimilate. Conform and wait, but be not one of them for they are your enemy. Mohamed preached it in the 15th century. The concept later became known as that of the Fifth Column. The term was first used by Emilio Mola, a Nationalist General during the 1936–39 Spanish Civil War. As his army approached Madrid, there was concern that the four columns of his forces would not be sufficient to take the city. He said, not to worry, his troops were supported by a “fifth column”, a column of his followers inside the city.

Before we put this all together and relate it to the Mosque in Manhattan there is one more thing to cover. It’s a bit of history. Cordoba, a city in the southern region of Spain, was the first European city conquered by the Muslim Army. It remained under Muslim control for more than 700 years until the advancing Crusades led to its being returned to Christian governance. The name Cordoba has enormous significance in the Muslim world. It symbolizes the peak of their power as well as a source of great resentment.

Symbolism is as much a part of battle as guns and cannons. Our National Anthem is the Star Spangled Banner. The raising of the American flag on the Island of Iwo Jima is the powerful symbol of our WW II victory in the Pacific. The Muslim world is watching. The erection of Cordoba House in the shadow of Ground Zero will stand as an Iwo Jima to the Muslim world.

Some American’s will see the approval for the building of the Mosque as a concession to religious freedom, others will view it as an insult to those who died. A few may even be fooled into believing the claim that it is an outreach from the Islamic community seeking better “understanding”. But there will be no division of thought in the Muslim world as to what it signifies.

So you see, to build it some distance away and dedicate it on whatever day it is completed would turn a monument to Islamic progress into a conciliatory defeat. If it comes to that, and we don’t believe it will, it will not be named Cordoba House.

A mosque in your face!

That is the theme of Cordoba House, the mosque the muslim community is organizing to build in what was once the shadow of the World Trade Center towers. Manhattan Community Board One endorsed the plan by a 29 to 1 vote.

My instant reactive thought was “how soon they forget”. But there was no forgetting. Relatives were there to remind board members of the horror and remind them they did. Had I been at that meeting I would have worn the pass I still have to admit me to the South Tower and I would have told of a young Oriental woman trapped on an upper floor. She called her mother and spoke of the unbearable heat. Her mother suggested she remove her top; it was no time for modesty. The daughter replied, “I tried, but I cannot. It is stuck to my skin.” That young woman was one among others who were baked to death that day.

The 29 board members in support of the mosque are not insensitive. They are headless and heartless. The very name proposed for the mosque confirms the objective in choosing the location and infers concurrence with the mission undertaken by Mohammed Atta. Cordoba was the Capital of Al-Andalus, the Islamic Caliphate that ruled much of Spain during the Middle Ages. One of Al-Qaida’s main goals proclaimed after the 9/11 attack was the restoration of the Cordoba Caliphate in Al-Andalus.

The muslim faith divides the world into two parts, dar al Islam and dar al harb. the house of faith and the house of war. The house of war fights on two fronts, violent Jihad and non violent diaspora. The mission of diaspora is to occupy, populate and wait but do not assimilate. The mission of 911 was Jihad. The mission of Cordoba House is fulfillment the commandments of diaspora.

Dar al harb welcome in the heart of liberalland

The Manhattan Community Board One has no authority to approve or deny construction. They exist to express the feelings of their community. Perhaps they should disband. It seems their community has no feelings.
