Reuters reports:
“Republicans want to shut down the government because they think there’s nothing more important than keeping women from getting cancer screenings.” Reid said on the Senate floor.

Republicans want to Kill Women
One of the leading pro-abortion members of the House is causing furor with her comment to the effect that the pro-life Republicans recently elected to Congress want women to die of cancer.

Congresswoman Louise Slaughter (D NY) compared Republican efforts to revoke taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood to actions taken by the Nazi regime in Germany during World War II.

“This is probably one of the worst times we’ve seen because the numbers of people elected to Congress. I went through this as co-chair of the arts caucus,” Slaughter said, according to a CNS News report. ”In ’94 people were elected simply to come here to kill the National Endowment for the Arts. Now they’re here to kill women.”

There are three things I would like to see documented:
1. How many times Democrat politicos have compared conservatives to Nazis in a public forum, and that includes organized demonstrations.
2. How many times Democrat politicos have accused conservatives of doing that in public forums.
3. How often conservatives have actually done it.

John E. Silvia is the chief economist at Wells Fargo bank. On Wednesday he told CNBC that “the plot in Greece and Portugal sounds an awful lot like the same plot that’s going on in the United States”, the only thing different is the names of the players, he said.

Mitch Daniels, the governor of Indiana, sees the path the nation is on as one ending in insolvency. “It’s not a question of philosophy. It’s simply arithmetic.” he said.

Commenting in the Spring of 2009, “like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath-taking speed.”

Whatever one may say about PRAVDA, they know Marxism when they see it.

Senator Schumer (D-NY) tells fellow Democrats to use the word “extreme” when speaking to the press about the Republican efforts to trim about 3% from the Democrat’s spending plan. Considering the direction in which the country is going, a better word for attempting to trim the budget by only 3%  might be “pathetic”.

PRIVATELY WEALTHY MICHAEL MOORE VEHEMENTLY CONDEMNS PEOPLE WHO ARE PRIVATELY WEALTHY

Michael Moore’s voice was quivering with rage as he spoke to the demonstrating Union members at Madison, Wisconsin. There can be no doubt he believes what he says. I award him a tarnished silver star for that because it is an honorable personal characteristic. The star isn’t golden because his sincerity stands alone as the only decent thing about the monstrous man. The star is tarnished because, although he believes what he says, he does not do according to what he believes.

The master maker of propaganda movies goes beyond the idea that the wealthy should give up some of their wealth in the name of “social justice”. He doesn’t believe it is their wealth in the first place.

Here are Michael Moore’s words.
America is not broke. Not by a long shot. The country is awash in wealth and cash. It is just that IT..IS..NOT..IN..YOUR..HANDS! It has been transferred in the greatest heist in history from the workers [to the portfolios of the super rich].

What Moore is saying is that the money and property now owned by the likes of Oliver Stone, Steve Jobs and your favorite sports star should stripped from them by the government and given to union workers from whom he believes it was literally stolen. To sincerely believe this, you must either (1) be handicapped with a extremely low level of intelligence or (2) have surrendered your mind and soul to envy (3) totally ignorant of right from wrong or (4) or demented.

Moore is smart. Given his personal wealth, I doubt he is consumed with envy. Moore does have a sense of right and wrong, although you may not agree with it. That leaves demented. That is as charitable as I can get.

Ryan wants to have an adult conversation with America about the looming insolvency of the welfare state, and he has a serious plan to fix it.
I suspect Ryan is one of the few Republicans Obama genuinely fears; after all, Ryan schooled Obama in Obama’s faux-“health care summit” early last year. (Obama does not look pleased in the video.) David Brooks reports, by the way, that Obama never picks up the phone to try to talk with Ryan.
Ryan is areal hero of ours but his expertise, though extraordinary, is not broad enough o qualify for the oval office.

WHAT HAPPENS IF QADHAFI WINS?

Except for Lochherbie, Libya has been a fairly passive enemy of the United States. If Qadhafi emerges from this war in full control of most of the country, passive will turn to active. Libya will become the new Afghanistan, yet more. Qadhafi will give refuge to anti-American terrorists and welcome organizations seeking a safe haven for terrorist training grounds.

Unlike Afghanistan, Libya is wealthy and not a lesser known isolationist nation run by a small impoverished religious group as Afghanistan was prior to 911. Qadhafi is crazy, but crazy like a fox with a lot of money and bent on revenge. Obama has shown America to be a weak horse. The superpower is super no more. (A temporary condition, we hope) Qadhafi will feel he has defeated both Europe and the US. Indeed, he will be correct.

Recently we learned that Qadhafi supported Louis Farrakhan by providing the money for construction of the magnificent headquarters of Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam in Chicago (Where else!). This financial support was fairly innocuous but it shows that Qadhafi is willing to put some of his vast store of money into support of subversive elements in America. And, compared to Qadhfi, George Soros is poverty stricken.

We need a strong man in the White House. A strong lady would do as well. What we don’t need is a gentlemen negotiator. The Right senses this. That is why people like Chris Christie, Govs. Walker of Wisconsin and LePage of Maine are so cheered for their actions. It’s why a loose cannon like Bachman has outraised Romney in the drive for campaign funding.

The greatness that is America has not withered. It has only become latent from lack of leadership. There are good candidates out there who can turn us back around on the right course again. We just need to elect them.

President Barack Obama announced this morning that he will open Anwar to drilling. In his statement he admits he should have done it sooner. Read the full announcement here.

Libya. Ground troops were landed somewhere in the Libyan desert under cover of darkness just after midnight this morning. The plan is to have boots on the ground ready to support whichever side seems to be winning. Click on this for the full story..

MAKING SOME THINGS UNANIMOUSLY CLEAR

Hillary Clinton held a press conference today were she sought to re-confirm once more again the various positions the Obama administration holds on Libya. “Let me be clear,” she said “we are not seeking regime change in Libya. We just want Qadafi (sic) to step down and let the rebels run the country so we can find out who they are.” The Secretary added “I also want to assure you that Barack and I are more or less in complete agreement on that. I want to refudiate the contrary insinuendo that’s coming from the right wing conservative conspiracists, before it becomes a rumor.”

In other news, the Senate, Obama and all the czars have agreed to accept the Republican budget proposal, subject to UN approval, of course. Russia and China indicate they will vote in favor of the measure, saying it will help set America on the path to austerity. However, the Ambassador from England said “NO” to the U.S. request, “Not after the way you returned our bust! We aren’t too happy with the way Michelle patted our Queen on the rump, either.”

Later in the day, the President went to the White House gym to dribble, and shoot a few hoops. He winked and said “It relieves the stress, you know.”

OBAMA DOES AS OBAMA IS

Thomas Sowell had this to say about Barack Obama:

Many people in various parts of the political spectrum are expressing a sense of disappointment with Obama. But I have not felt the least bit disappointed.

Once in office, President Obama has done exactly what his whole history would lead you to expect him to do– such as cutting the military budget and vastly expanding the welfare state.

He has by-passed the Constitution by appointing power-wielding “czars” who don’t have to be confirmed by the Senate like Cabinet members, and now he has by-passed Congress by taking military actions based on authorization by the United Nations and the Arab League.

Those who expected his election to mark a new “post-racial” era may be the most disappointed. He has appointed people with a track record of race resentment promotion and bias, like Attorney General Eric Holder and Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.

Disappointing? No. Disgusting? Yes. The only disappointment is with voters who voted their hopes and ignored his realities.
