DRAINING PELOSI’S SWAMP

What’s that old saying about stones and glass houses? I think it goes ‘if you swim in a cesspool don’t complain about someone else’s swamp’.

Politicians turn melancholy when one of them gets caught. You can hear them sigh, -but for the grace of God, it could have been me. The Speaker of the House, third in line for the Presidency, is beyond melancholy. She is calling the entire Republican party “is a criminal conspiracy”. Does she not know that Rangel is a Democrat?

When there is no defense, go on offense. That’s taught in Litigation 101. If your client is guilty, attack the witnesses. Perhaps the witness that saw your client pump 5 bullets into the victim once cheated on his wife. Who is going to believe a man like that?

Hillary took the same Litigation class. A vast right-wing conspiracy served as the straw man, correction – straw woman, in that case.

PELOSI SETS NEW GUINNESS WORLD RECORD

Most stupid statement ever uttered.

“[Unemployment compensation] creates jobs faster than almost any other initiative you can name.” Sure, and the quickest way to dry your clothes is to put them out in the rain.

Play the video. Her appeal is pathetic. The only thing that can be learned from it is how little regard some Politicians (D) Any State, have for the intelligence of their constituents.

As Monty Python would say, now for something completely different.

Hmmm…John Edwards, Bill Clinton, Eliot Spitzer, Jack Kennedy and now Al Gore. Why is it the Democrats have all the fun while the best a Republican can do is tap his foot on a men’s room floor?

Nancy Pelosi fears investigations. I can understand that. The Hill reports that in a fund raising letter,

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is asking supporters for contributions to help prevent the “subpoenas and investigations” that would result from a GOP majority.

After her promise to “drain the swamp” she has reason to fear oversight will show the swamp has turned into a cesspool under her leadership. The Tea Party is Patriotic, not Nationalistic. According to George Orwell, Nationalism is the habit of identifying oneself with a single nation or other unit, placing it beyond good and evil and recognizing no other duty than to advance its interests. Patriotism is devotion to a particular way of life which one believes is the best in the world but with no wish to force it upon other people. Patriotism is by its nature defensive, both militarily and culturally. Nationalism, on the other hand, is inseparable from the desire for power. Soros and Obama have joined in urging Germany to increase their spending as a means to stimulate economic recovery and support EU nations with greater levels of debt. What they are calling for is what Random Thots calls International Socialism. It would tap the wealth of one nation that has acted responsibly in order to benefit other nations whose irresponsible spending led to the problem in the first place. Soros and Obama are urging a policy that would increase the debt of the EU’s strongest member and support the continuation of the policies that are leading other nations to bankruptcy.

SOCIALISM WINS ONE

With a sad face, Charles Krauthammer declared, “we are witnessing an historic moment” with the passage of this health care bill which “will not be repealed.” Charles realizes, as did many among the thousands that rallied in Washington, that this is less about health care than it is about power over the people through expansion of government.

If indeed this is the tipping point it appears to be, the change will be felt around the world. For if America becomes socialist brethren with Russia who will be the umbrella for the smaller nations of Eastern Europe? If America’s leaders are kindred in fiscal philosophy with the leaders of other Socialist nations what happens to the prosperity that supports our international generosity?

We have taken the first step on the left path at the fork in the road. As has been said, Democracies demise is knocking on the door when 51% of voters realize they can vote largess for themselves. We are there.

Abraham Lincoln closed his Gettysburg Address with a dedication to the hope “that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” Well, Abe, you got 146 years and 4 months. Never in the history of this great nation has one party worked so hard, so deviously, and so corruptly to enact legislation counter to the will of the governed as the Democratic party has done with the passage of the Obama/Pelosi health care bill.

Voting on a pig in a poke, with emphasis on the pig

A Rasmussen poll finds just 20% of likely voters believe most of our Representatives will understand what is in Pelosi’s health care bill before they sign it. How could they know?!  The crafty crafters are not releasing the contents. Even Obama revealed to Bret Baier that he does not know what is in the bill.

The Washington Times says “The Democrats are assaulting the very pillars of our democracy”. They are correct.

Obama promised to heal the divide. His “Change” has transformed the divide into a Grand Chasm not seen since the civil war.

Pelosi promised to clean the swamp of Republicans. Under her leadership we no longer have a swamp of Republicans. We have a cesspool of Democrats.

What we have are DINO’s, Socialists who are Democrats In Name Only.

US SENATE NOT NEEDED

In order to get Obamacare rahmed through into law, the United States House of Representatives under the leadership of Nancy Pelosi (D) San Francisco, is prepared to declare the United States Senate superfluous. No, I am not reading the National Enquirer, it is in the Washington Examiner.

The Examiner reports that House Rules Chairwoman Louise Slaughter is preparing a new rule that would allow Nancy’s House to declare it unnecessary to re-submit the Bill to the Senate for their vote. Under this provision, if voted Up in the House it would bypass the Senate and go directly to the President for signature.

We have gone from nuclear option to Slaughter Solution. Pelosi said she would do anything to get this Bill passed. Now we know that includes rendering the US Senate obsolete. If perchance the Slaughter Solution doesn’t do it, I dare not think what might be next on Pelosi’s anything list.
