FRUIT FROM THE OBAMA TREE

“By their fruit shall ye know them.”

Herewith are some fruits by which a reasonable judgment can be made.

Where there are apples, there's an apple tree.

From a UK newspaper, the Telegraph
“No leader in American history has gone to greater lengths than Barack Obama to make amends for his own country. From condemnation of American “arrogance” in a speech in Strasbourg to acknowledging U.S. “mistakes” before millions of Muslims on Arab television, Obama has rarely missed an opportunity to apologize for the actions of the American people. “
[In another example he chose to tell the Chinese people, at a Town Hall style meeting in China, that it’s not uncommon in America for men to fail to support their women.]

From Barack Obama’s chosen spiritual leader for 20 years
“God damn America ! “ “America lies!” America is guilty of genocide of black people.
This is the message of the man Barack Obama has admired above all others, a man he “could never disown”, the man whom Obama has said shaped his life more than any other.
Rev Wright’s Liberation Theology was twice condemned by the Pope for its Marxist foundation.

From Obama’s community organizing co-activist
“I only regret we did not do even more bombing” of American institutions (paraphrased)

From Michelle Obama
Upon the nomination of her husband, “I have never been proud of America, until now”
On another occasion, speaking to children in a school
“America is downright mean”.
Does Barack agree with his wife’s sentiments? He hasn’t explicitly said so, but his words and actions are consistent with the views she expressed.

From the Russian newspaper PRAVDA
Commenting in the Spring of 2009, “like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed.”
Whatever one may say about PRAVDA, they know Marxism when they see it.

From Barack Obama
During his campaign Obama was asked by a 7 year old girl why he wanted to be President. He answered by expressing dismay at the thought of his children having to grow up in America as it is.

More pieces that form the picture
Despite a family argument 2 or 3 hundred years ago Americans feel a special affinity for the British. Britain is the prime element of the American heritage. However, Obama has shown contempt in many ways for this perennial friend and our most loyal ally. For one example, he had the bust of Winston Churchill that stood in the White House, removed and sent back to Great Britain. Quietly removing it to storage would be one thing but sending a gift from a sovereign nation back its giver as Obama did, could hardly be interpreted as anything but a deliberate insult.

In juxtaposition, Obama thanks Hugo Chavez for his gift of a book condemning America. There is no record of his returning the book. Nor is there is any record of his being critical of Chavez’s anti American screed.

Obama accepts without condemnation the display of a Che Guevara poster prominently displayed in a local campaign office.

Obama launched his first political campaign from the very home of the afore referenced Bill Ayers, a man who, not too many years ago told the New York Times “the notion of the United States as a just and fair and decent place makes me want to puke.”

About New Orleans, Obama declared“ we had to realize that we were no longer the America we had hoped to be”. and this comment ” But here’s the good news: America was ashamed and shocked.”

When a white police officer has an issue with a black man in Boston, Obama presumes it is another white police officer harassing a black man and immediately condemns the officer. When a muslim kills 14 people while yelling “Allahu Akbar” he intones us not to jump to conclusions. These responses are reflective of a view of America as a land where blacks are oppressed and Islamic killers are unfairly judged.

In the matter of Honduras Obama sided with America’s adversary rather than support the people of that democratic nation who sought through their legal system to remove a tyrant, a Chavez acolyte.

“American exceptionalism”. is a term is attributed to Alexis de Tocqueville who claimed that the then-50-year-old United States held a special place among nations, because it was a country of immigrants and the first modern democracy. When Obama was asked if he believed in American exceptionalism, he answered in the negative.

Opinion
Obama seems to delight in prostrating America before its critics and rivals, especially on foreign soil. He appears to believe America is an arrogant, oppressive, unjust nation and the source of much of the world’s ills. He believes he can transform America from what he deems it to be into what he believes it should be. Obama described his ascendancy to the Presidency as being “what the world has been waiting for” and as the moment when “the oceans will cease to rise and our planet begin to heal”. His vision is of a new and better world, a world risen from the ashes of America.

SOCIALISM SLATED TO GAIN RESPECT

Ideology is stronger than truth.

When a true believer loses an argument to the truth, the argument changes in order that the belief can remain the same. We have seen it with global warming. As truth toppled the claim that “scientists agree” that global warming is man-made and the only direction is up, the argument changed from global warming to “climate change”. Now warming or cooling, not to mention floods and hurricanes can qualify to justify the ideology that lies beneath the argument.

Barack Obama is an icon of the left. When observers first raised the question of whether Obama might be a socialist his defenders quickly responded with denials. Socialism is held with disregard in America. Assertions of socialism were labeled “absurd” or “racism” or “over the top”. Attempts to label the champion of Hope and Change as a socialist were not to be tolerated.

But the argument that Obama is not a socialist is being lost to the truth. As the truth becomes more and more apparent, look for the argument to change. It will no longer be the President is not a socialist. It will be socialism is a good thing. In the course of a televised committee hearing, Maxine Waters told oil company executives “Socialism is the goal.” At the time it was considered to be a gaffe. But in due course such a comment will be seen as one coming from someone who holds a commonly expressed viewpoint but not a gaffe.

Nevertheless, America is still America. The Tea Party has proven that. For decades the Republican and Democratic parties have been marching leftward. Republicans, not the party but the people, have had enough and are bringing the party back toward home. The Democrats, on the other hand, have accelerated their pace and are marching off a cliff. Let us hope some liberal version of a tea party will emerge to bring them back home to the Democratic party of Truman and JFK. Then we can get back to debating and arguing with each other with mutual respect.

AYERS, OBAMA and the CHICAGO ANNENBERG CHALLENGE

From the Wall Street Journal, Sept 23, 2008
Obama and Ayers Pushed Radicalism On Schools By Stanley Kurtz

BILL AYERS

Despite having authored two autobiographies, Barack Obama has never written about his most important executive experience. From 1995 to 1999, he led an education foundation called the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC), and remained on the board until 2001. The group poured more than $100 million into the hands of community organizers and radical education activists.

The CAC was the brainchild of Bill Ayers, a founder of the Weather Underground in the 1960s. Among other feats, Mr. Ayers and his cohorts bombed the Pentagon, and he has never expressed regret for his actions. Barack Obama’s first run for the Illinois State Senate was launched at a 1995 gathering at Mr. Ayers’s home.

The Obama campaign has struggled to downplay that association. Last April, Sen. Obama dismissed Mr. Ayers as just “a guy who lives in my neighborhood,” and “not somebody who I exchange ideas with on a regular basis.” Yet documents in the CAC archives make clear that Mr. Ayers and Mr. Obama were partners in the CAC. Those archives are housed in the Richard J. Daley Library at the University of Illinois at Chicago and I’ve recently spent days looking through them.

The Chicago Annenberg Challenge was created ostensibly to improve Chicago’s public schools. The funding came from a national education initiative by Ambassador Walter Annenberg. In early 1995, Mr. Obama was appointed the first chairman of the board, which handled fiscal matters. Mr. Ayers co-chaired the foundation’s other key body, the “Collaborative,” which shaped education policy.

The CAC’s basic functioning has long been known, because its annual reports, evaluations and some board minutes were public. But the Daley archive contains additional board minutes, the Collaborative minutes, and documentation on the groups that CAC funded and rejected. The Daley archives show that Mr. Obama and Mr. Ayers worked as a team to advance the CAC agenda.

MORTGAGE FORECLOSURES

The Washington Post reports the Obama administration was aware of widespread irregularities at the banks but chose to allow it to continue in order not to hamper implementation of their plan to give a break to people who had gotten in over their heads and were in default on their mortgages. The program goes by the ungainly name of The House Affordable Modification Plan.

With the banks already understaffed for handling the avalanche of mortgages needing workout or foreclosure, a nearly impossible task was made utterly impossible to be properly processed.

It is another case of making a bad situation worse by interfering with the free market process. What follows is the parties responsible for the problem blame it on the free market system which neither the government nor large segments of the population understand very well.

The dot com bubble and burst was pure free market in both the wealth created that caused the surplus for which the Democrats credit Clinton and in the collapse of the bubble that led to a brief recession. The mortgage crisis, on the other hand was entirely government sponsored, albeit with some help from the private sector, the Federal Reserve and of course the Government National Mortgage Association (GNMA aka Ginnie Mae) and the Federal National Mortgage Association (FNMA aka Fannie Mae).

Government is not the solution to the problem. Government is the problem.

POST AMERICAN PRESIDENCY

Pamella Geller’s book The Post-American Presidency begins Chapter 2 with the question, “How did Barack Obama become the leader of a nation whose power he seemed determined to diminish?” An even more pertinent question would not be how, but – why? For the answer we look back to his formative years.

When an immigrant family comes to settle on our shores and embraces our values they are immediately accepted as Americans. Nothing like this can be said of any other nation on earth.  Ethnicity does not define us, values do. Barack Obama does not share those values. He was not taught them in the home nor did he see them in his surroundings in his childhood.

From age six to ten, the heart of one’s formative years, he was Barry Soetoro, a public elementary school student in Jakarta, the capital of the most populous Muslim country on earth. His father and his stepfather were Muslims for Kenya and Indonesia. Life with his mother was immersion in Communism. All her friends and many in her family were dedicated Communists. She attended a special high school run by a self-proclaimed Communist. In his formative years Barry had no exposure to the values we hold dear. He was surrounded by people who despised them. Geller quotes Obama as having said of his mother, she was “the dominant figure in my formative years…. The values she taught me continue to be my touchstone when it comes to how I go about the world of politics.”

There is more, but for that you will need to read the book.

A PROFESSIONAL RADICAL

Obama is not a professional politician. He shows no concern for the damage he has done to his party. He has alienated Left, Right and Center. He doesn’t respond to circumstances and events like a professional politician. He neither thinks nor acts like a professional politician because he isn’t a professional politician. Obama is a professional radical.

Barack Obama has led the life of an organizer, an agitator, a revolutionary fighting for a cause. This has been his life. This is what he sees as his calling. He knows how to develop a following, how to work a crowd. Obama is a professional radical. He doesn’t know how to govern. He doesn’t care much about governing. He cares about change. His goal is nothing less than radical transformation of America.

Saul Alinsky gave barely a sentence about governing in his book Rules for Radicals. All he said was that governing was for someone else to do. The radical’s role is not to build, but to destroy. Not to lead, but to bring down the status quo paving the way for new leadership, radical transformational leadership that will emerge. Obama is well versed in radical activism. His associations with Ayers, Dorn, Rev. Wright, ACORN and the teachings of Saul Alinsky vouch for that. Now he’s learning that running a country is not as easy as manipulating an angry crowd.

THE TEA PARTY – CRITICS JUST DON’T GET IT

The third defining moment.

Critics of the Tea Party movement have spoken of guns, church, abortion and even insurrection. A prominent article published earlier this year in the New York Times alarmed its ill-informed readers by characterizing Tea Party people as militia types walking around with rifles and preparing for insurrection. Radical activist and convicted criminal Lyndon LaRouche was said to be typical of the leadership within the group. The fact that LaRouche has run for political office at least nine times, always and only on Labor or Democratic Party tickets did not deter the authors from connecting him with the Tea Party movement; nor did the fact that LaRouche chose the far left Ramsey Clark to be his defense attorney.

The most amazing, even amusing thing about the article is the authors seemed entirely genuine. They had not a clue how far off the mark they were. Members of the Press have sequestered themselves in a liberal bubble for so long that the walls of their self-imposed enclosure have become totally opaque. Even the brilliant ones are blind to, and ignorant of the world outside.

The Tea Party movement is perceived to be an eruption of old issues like abortion, guns, church and marriage by extremists who are anti-immigrant, anti-minority and anti-Obama only because he is Black and a Democrat. Whatever caused this unsophisticated lot to suddenly become so restless remains a total mystery. They just don’t get it. The only thing of which they are sure, is that any group that thinks a soccer mom can run the country better than a Harvard Law School graduate is a group to be feared and condemned, not one sought to be understood.

It is true, the old issues of abortion, guns and “In God we trust” are there. However, they are but a sidebar to the major concern of the people fast becoming known as the Tea Party Express. This is not about winning debates. It is about preserving the right of having debates. The Tea Party stands firmly athwart the path the nation is travelling toward totalitarian rule.

Obama is not the cause. He is the culmination. We sit at the end of a trend that began with Woodrow Wilson. It was extended by Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Lyndon Baines Johnson and is in the final stage of culmination by a (thus far) triumphant Barrack Hussein Obama.

Two significant events have shaped the land the world calls America, the parting from England and the Civil War. The third event stands before us. The November election is critical but we can survive whatever the result. If Obama wins re-election by a narrow margin in 2012 we will still have a slim chance of preserving our shining light. But if he wins it easily, it will mean the country has chosen another path.

Burke is the central figure.

Anyone who fails to vote this year or in 2012 is assuming an awesome responsibility. As the noted 18th century British statesman said “The only thing needed for evil to triumph is that good men do nothing”.

RANDOM STUFF Sept 13, 2010

The New York Times reports today in the print edition, “A majority of those who voted for Obama still approve of the job he is doing”. Another way of putting it would be, that among those who voted for Obama, nearly half were willing to admit to a pollster that they were wrong, and that they disapprove of the job Obama is doing. I can use a truthful statement to spin a poll just as well as can the big boys at the paper still considered by some to be the one of record.

Now about those parties, the way the Obama’s are partying one would think they had won the lottery, or were spending someone else’s money. It makes one wonder if Barack feels he only has two more years and is milking it for all he can get while he can get it. I am getting a little irked. He lives in our house and we let him stay there because he has pledged to be of service to us. Then he throws one private party after another and we are not invited, at least most of us are not. We let him live rent free, he changes the furniture and sends us the bill. It’s time we threw the bum out.

Crime seems to be on the increase. Sometimes it is downright disgusting. Take Cabbagegate for instance. Some creep named Steve Miller down in De Kalb County Georgia has been growing too many vegetables, and his crop wasn’t limited to cabbage either. He was even giving spinach and some green peppers to his neighbors, but they caught him, slapped a 5,000 dollar fine on the scoundrel. Read about it here.

COMMUNITY ORGANIZING AND ARIZONA

The job of a community organizer is not to organize for efficiency  and a smoother running society. The job is more like that of a union organizer. It is to stir up people, get them angry and then focus their anger in a direction that gives power to the organizer. The job is not to unite, but to divide; to divide and conquer.

Obama is dividing the country. He seems not to care. His poll ratings are in free fall. He seems not to care. His party is going to get thrashed in November. He seems not to care. Arizona is enforcing the law. About that, he cares. His Justice Department has just instituted another lawsuit against Arizona law enforcement.

Obama’s chances for a second term look grim. He seems not to care. He must have a plan. What could it be?  He has over 2 years to push for an amnesty program with voting rights. It is a rank speculation, but could that be part of the plan?

THE POST-AMERICAN PRESIDENCY

The following has been taken and edited from an article originally published at Town Hall by Random Thots on June 03, 2009 under the title “Does Obama Really Loathe America?

From a UK newspaper, the Telegraph,
“No leader in American history has gone to greater lengths than Barack Obama to make amends for his own country. From condemnation of American “arrogance” in a speech in Strasbourg to acknowledging U.S. “mistakes” before millions of Muslims on Arab television, Obama has rarely missed an opportunity to apologize for the actions of the American people.

President Obama has elevated the art of national self-loathing to new heights, and seems to delight in prostrating the most powerful nation on the face of the earth before its critics and rivals, especially on foreign soil.”

From Michelle Obama,
Upon the nomination of her husband,
“I have never been proud of America, until now”

Later, when speaking to a group of children at a school,
“America is downright mean”

From the man whom Obama most looked to for guidance in his life,
“America lies! Lies! Lies! God damn America ! “

From Obama’s community organizing comrade,
I only regret we did not do even more bombing of American facilities (paraphrased).

From the Russian newspaper PRAVDA,
“Like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed.”

“The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama”

Minutia?
Obama banished the bust of Churchill from the White House and sent it back to Britain.
Obama smiled and thanked Hugo Chavez for his gift of a book condemning America.
Obama accepted without comment the prominent display of a Che Guevara poster in one of his local campaign offices.
Obama launched his Senatorial campaign from the home of a man who told the New York Times in 2001 that the notion of the United States as a just and fair and decent place “makes me want to puke.”
In New Orleans Obama said “We had to realize that we were no longer the America we had hoped to be…but here’s the good news America was ashamed and shocked.”

Does this not all add up to something? Who is this man? What are his real beliefs, his real goals?

Author Pamela Geller has undertaken the task of providing some answers to those questions in her recently released book, The Post-American Presidency, The Obama Administration’s War on America. Here is a sampling of chapters: Obama and American Exceptionalism, Obama and Jews, An Islamo-Christian Nation, Destroying the Prestige of America.

We recommend the book.
