THE AFTERMATH
Guy de Maupassant ends his great novel “Une Vie” with the statement “Life is never as good or as bad as one thinks.” Conservatives should understand that in politics, things are rarely as good or as bad as one thinks in the aftermath of an election.
Hat tip Paul MirengoffDEMOCRACY’S FATE
“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years.”
― Alexis de Tocqueville

High gasoline prices are consistent with Obama’s transformational plans.
Power Line Blog reports
President Obama named Steven Chu his Secretary of Energy just three months after Chu told the Wall Street Journal in a high-profile interview that “Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.” Presumably Obama put Chu in charge of energy policy because he shared Chu’s goal of driving American gas prices far above their then-current level. The policies that Obama, Chu and Obama’s EPA have subsequently followed confirm that higher energy prices was their objective. Now, confronted with the political fallout from his policies and facing rejection at the polls in 2012, Obama is flailing helplessly to re-cast himself as an advocate for American consumers. But he still is not willing to do the one thing that is within his power and that will bring down energy costs: turn loose America’s vast energy resources for development.
You can’t fight a nuclear enemy with spears no matter how strong your arms may be.
From The American Thinker
Beyond their ideological animosity toward free enterprise, perhaps the real reason the left wing activists want to destroy nuclear power is because the plants produce plutonium that is an economical raw material for nuclear weapons. Leftist utopians dream of a day when the world will live again in the glorious Dark Ages — back when armies used catapults to launch diseased cows into enemy camps. But until that happens, the real world has nuclear weapons, and if we don’t build them, our enemies will use theirs to destroy the nuclear-free Santa Cruz and most everything else. Good luck though, with your medieval windmills and weaponized cows.
Bernanke predicts stagflation. Slowing growth and higher inflation. The ‘good news’ is unemployment will range from 8.4 to 8.7 percent over the next 3 years.
Read the full CNBC report.
The Fed cut its growth estimate for 2011 to between 3.1 percent and 3.3 percent from a January forecast of 3.4 percent to 3.9 percent.
The Fed also raised its estimate of inflation this year to a range of 2.1 percent to 2.8 percent, taking into account a recent surge in oil prices. However, it bumped its core inflation forecasts only marginally to a 1.3 percent to 1.6 percent range.

OBAMA’S FULL BIRTH CERTIFICATE – PDF FILE
The full long form Hawaiian birth certificate has been released. Click on the link to view the form in a pdf file.
It would be nice to say it means bye bye birthers, but there are sure to be some hangers on. This was a losing issue from the start. Once a man is sworn into office the place of his birth becomes a technicality. He should be judged on his actions, not by where his mother happened to be when the labor pains started.
This is not to say natural citizenship shouldn’t be a qualification for office. But if the vetting wasn’t done before the election, it becomes too late. As much as I would like to see Obama deprived of his power, I would not subject the nation to the impeachment process over the issue even if it had turned out there was proof of an offshore birth.
UPDATE
It has started already. Birthers are now ‘Certers’ claiming the certificate may be fake. It doesn’t matter, guys and gals, drop it ! How he runs the country is the problem. Beating a dead horse is just plain foolish.
OUR SOCIALIST PRESIDENTS
Wilson, Roosevelt and Johnson were socialistic presidents. All three believed in America but sought to make it an even greater nation. Barack Obama is the first truly Socialist, not just socialistic, president. Obama seeks to transform America into a Marxist Socialist nation. He believes the United States is a deeply flawed arrogant oppressor nation that needs to be brought to its knees. John Bolton expressed it well when he said “Barack Obama is the first post-American president.”
Wilson’s socialistic efforts were unsuccessful. His presidency ran from 1913 to 1921. It was a period of growing prosperity in America. The people wanted no part of his socialistic ideas. Roosevelt (FDR) was elected in the midst of a recession that was the bust after the boom of the roaring twenties. The people turned to government for help. The economic circumstances could be compared to the bust that George Bush inherited following the dot com boom. Whereas, Bush turned the recession into recovery, Roosevelt turned his recession into the ‘Great Depression’. But his intentions were as good as his policies were bad.
Johnson’s contribution was the nanny state with his ‘War on Poverty’. Great welfare programs supported both the misfortunately indigent as well as the slovenly. President Johnson was a politician who built a huge populist power base for the Democratic Party but he was not a Socialist.
Wilson, Roosevelt and Johnson were Democrats who guided the United States in a socialist direction. President Obama is a Socialist who is presiding over the culmination of their work. He must be stopped. The 2012 election is a fork in the road and the road to the left is a one way route. There hasn’t been an election as critical to the future of the nation since Lincoln won the White House.

THE REPUBLICAN PARTY CANDIDATES
Sarah Palin – a motivator, good for stirring up a crowd
Newt Gingrich – a thinker, good for setting strategy and goals
Donald Trump – an entertainer, but not funny
Jon Huntsman – a big name, but not outside of Utah
Mitch Romney – a businessman, a compromiser when compromise will not do
Mike Huckabee – best known candidate, but with an unknown vision
Rick Santorum – an honest man, at a time when integrity is out of favor
Haley Barbour – a politician, with a sportscaster’s name
Mitch Daniels – a very nice man, but what’s needed is sound and fury
Michele Bachmann – has the sound and fury, but its coming from a loose cannon
To be announced – a forceful electable leader, knows what needs to be done and how to do it.
UPDATE
One has to type fast in this business. Haley Barbour just dropped out. Ron Paul just dropped in. It just makes the list a little more motley.

SHOCK VIDEO: ANOTHER RACIAL BEATDOWN AT MCDONALDS
Black girls beat a white girl into seizure in McDonalds. One man stands at a safe distance asking them to stop it. The only one who steps in to stop it is an elderly white woman. This is about as ugly as it gets. We dislike reporting it but if these things are not reported they will never be stopped.

BLACK LEADER CALLS FOR RETURN TO SEGREGATED EDUCATION – WE DON’T WANT WHITE PEOPLE TEACHING OUR KIDS IN SCHOOL
Panelists, speaking to an all black audience, fan the flames against whitey with these thoughts and remarks. Panelist Bakewell -“I will not turn the education of my children over to another class of people because, many times, they come back hating me.” If blacks are not seen working on a construction project the project should be shut down. Al Sharpton – “They don’t want to deal with us.” [ Sharpton forgets, “they” elected a black man President]. Sharpton again – The reason Obama’s approval rating is declining is because the [white] media is trying to split us by pitting blacks against blacks (paraphrased). A member of the audience is given the microphone – He pleads for a leader to rise up dedicated to fighting the Tea Party which the speaker sees as ripe with racism. These leaders are not exercising the art of of healing. They are practicing the profession of community organizing, Alinsky style.
“When those in the status quo turn and label you an agitator, they are completely correct, for that is, in one word, your function – to agitate to the point of conflict.” Rules for Radicals, sixth chapter – In the Beginning, by Saul Alinsky
BP OIL SPILL – ONE YEAR LATER
Offshore oil production – down 13%
Price of crude oil – up 35%
Of the 20B dollars Obama coerced BP to put in his control:
3.5B dollars has been awarded to residents and business hurt by the spill,
16.5B remains available to spread around at the discretion of Obama appointee, Ken Feinberg.
To put that into perspective, 16B is about 14 times the amount each candidate spent on the last presidential campaign. Obama has shown he doesn’t know much about American history but he certainly has learned a lot about Chicago politics.
