‘White Folk Done Took This Country’

Obama and Wright before political expediency

The irreverent Jeremiah Wright has bubbled to the surface again. In a week long seminar at Chicago University’s Theological Seminary you could have sat under the latest teachings of Obama’s “God damn America” minister and mentor.

The theme of his message, in his own words, was “White Folk Done Took This Country”. His audience was meager and mostly African-American.

“You are not now, nor have you ever been, nor will you ever be a brother to white folk. And if you do not realize that, you are in serious trouble.”

They’ll step on you like a cockroach and keep on movin’, cause you not a brother to them.’ “

Martin Luther King, he said, “was misguided for advocating nonviolence among his people born in the oven of America.”

From the New York Post

In March, Wright told The Washington Post that he expects to speak to Obama again, when “he is out of the White House.” Last June, he told a Virginia newspaper that the only reason he and the president were not speaking at the moment is that “them Jews ain’t going to let him talk to me.

These are the teachings of the man our President has said did more to shape his life more than any other.

KENYA! THAT’S IT!

Yesterday I found myself discussing the usual things like Einstein’s theory of relativity and the price of cheese on the moon with a European friend of mine. He is a man of Liberal persuasion and I value his friendship which is why we spoke of science and cheese rather than topics political. Nevertheless, the subject of Winston Churchill came up and our discussion turned political nonetheless.

“I think it was an insult for the White House to return the bust of Churchill to Great Britain” I said. “No! Did they do that?” he replied. My friend wanted to know more so I recounted the many ways in which Obama has shown disdain for the people of Great Britain. Astonished to hear it, “But why? Why?” he cried. Before I could say anything he answered his own question, “KENYA! That’s it!”, he said.

My friend is fluent in 5 languages and has lived in many lands including a few years in Africa. He knows whereof he speaks. In his teens Obama travelled to Kenya in search of his roots. Kenya was colonized as Rhodesia by the British and deep seated hatred of Britain remains among Kenyans to this day.

OBAMA’S FATHER’S DAY PROCLAMATION

Are these not strange words to put in a Father’s Day proclamation?

When fathers are not present, their children and families cope with an absence government cannot fill.

Did anyone think government could fill the role of a loving and caring father?
And this one, which had no context whatever.

Nurturing families come in many forms, and children may be raised by a father and mother, a single father, two fathers, a step father, a grandfather, or caring guardian.

One is given to wonder why Obama omitted grandmothers, foster homes, hired nannies and lesbian couples as possibilities.

UK PRESS TURNS ON OBAMA

The UK Telegraph had this to say yesterday.

The BBC reports of Barack Obama’s speech last night are about as derisive as it would be possible to be about someone you were describing only a few months ago as the incarnation of Hope and Optimism. Yes indeed, the romance is over. The British media have decided that it was all a cruel deception: Obama is just one more ranting populist president who will do anything to divert attention from his own failure to get a grip. And this is not just about BP and the fate of all those pension funds.

The British media were not victims of a “cruel deception”. By election day it was very clear what Obama was all about. They just were not paying attention. They were in love and love is blind.

Obama is a man of his word,…selectively. In the pew of Trinity Church he dedicated his life to the promotion of the tenets of Liberation Theology and he is doing  just that. Five days before his election he promised “I will transform America”. Joe the Plumber knew what Obama was all about. So could anyone with clear vision and an open mind.

OLBERMAN, MATTHEWS and FINEMAN TURN ON OBAMA

Barack’s Hopeless Speech

You don’t watch the Hate channel, do you? So let me tell you; last night MSNBC’s team O-M-F turned on B-H-O. The three cohorts were unanimous in their condemnation, not only of the President’s oil spill speech, but of the entire way he has handled the BP disaster. It is a far cry from making the honored Worst Person in the World award but it is a precipitous fall from grace for Obama.

Jump to conclusion – Hillary will win the Democratic nomination for the 2012 election. Here’s how I got there, (if I may borrow that phrase). Obama is slaughtering his party. Not a single Pennsylvania politician wanted to be seen with him at his recent speech in Pittsburgh. Admit it or not, he is going to be held responsible for the outcome of this November’s elections.

The main stream press is in love with Obama’s agenda and color but not happy with how he has dealt with the press. From pre-selecting those whose questions will be accepted at après briefing to attempting to bar one of them, Fox, from white house briefings he has shown more inclination to control the press than any president before him. If it can happen to one, even Fox, it can happen to any and they know it. As Obama’s star declines, look for Hillary’s to rise.

It takes 2 to make a marriage; a single woman and an anxious mother. It takes 2 to nominate a candidate, support from the party and a favorable press. Hillary has both. Barack may soon have neither.

When the press turned from Hillary to Barack in 2008 I predicted Hillary would lose, and she did. I see the potential for the same phenomenon now, but in reverse.

D DAY HEROES DISHONORED

D Day was the second day of WW II to go down in infamy. December 7th, Pearl Harbor Day was the first. On D Day the Allies stormed the beaches of Normandy, France and put boots on the ground in German held territory. .It was a day thousands gave their lives to rid the world of a bloody genocidal tyrant.

A memorial was built to honor those who fell that day. Bedford, Virginia was chosen as the site in recognition of the fact Bedford lost more men per capita that day than any other town or village in the country. Every June 6th.a ceremony is held; Presidents come to pay their respects on behalf of millions of Americans, Presidents that is, except Barack Obama who chose instead to go to a theatre party this year.

Hitler is credited with the murder of 6 million people. Evil though he was, he was outdone 10 times over by Stalin who is credited with the intended starvation and killing of 60 million of his own countrymen. Last year we dispatched a bust of Winston Churchill from the White House, an affront to the people of Britain. This year we added a bust of Josef Stalin to the D Day memorial, an affront to those who died to free the world of the evil Stalin represents. No, this sculpture by a Lynchburg college professor is not but an affront; it is a dishonor, a despicable slap in the face of the dead.

WHY OBAMA HAS FALLEN FROM GRACE

An alien in the White House

Dorothy Rabinowitz (WSJ) has written an insightful analysis explaining why Obama has fallen from grace by so many of his one time admirers. Her thesis is Obama is apart from America; he is among us but not of us. He is an alien in the White House.

There should have been nothing puzzling about [Obama] to anyone who has paid even modest critical attention to Mr. Obama’s pronouncements. For it was clear from the first that this president—single-minded, ever-visible, confident in his program for a reformed America saved from darkness by his arrival—was wanting in certain qualities citizens have until now taken for granted in their presidents. Namely, a tone and presence that said: This is the Americans’ leader, a man of them, for them, the nation’s voice and champion.

[Obama lacks those qualities expected in a President], identification with the nation and to all that binds its people together in pride and allegiance. These are feelings held deep in American hearts, unvoiced mostly, but unmistakably there and not only on the Fourth of July.

A great part of America now understands that this president’s sense of identification lies elsewhere, and is in profound ways unlike theirs. He is hard put to sound convincingly like the leader of the nation, because he is, at heart and by instinct, the voice mainly of his ideological class. He is the alien in the White House.

Ms. Rabinowitz continues,

One of his first reforms was to rid the White House of the bust of Winston Churchill—a gift from Tony Blair—by packing it back off to 10 Downing Street. A cloudlet of mystery has surrounded the subject ever since, but the central fact stands clear. The new administration had apparently found no place in our national house of many rooms for the British leader who lives on so vividly in the American mind. Churchill, face of our shared wartime struggle, dauntless rallier of his nation who continues, so remarkably, to speak to ours. For a president to whom such associations are alien, ridding the White House of Churchill would, of course, have raised no second thoughts.
